What You'll Learn

Part 1 of the Clinical Decision Tree module will provide an overview of the importance of standardization of your clinical evaluation of swallowing and its impact on productivity and your ability to accurately track treatment progress over time. It will teach the participant how to implement a set of validated clinical tools to probe different aspects of the swallowing mechanism including: airway defense physiologic capacity, lingual physiologic capacity, swallow safety and aspiration screening, patient self-report and quality of life to be performed at the ‘bedside’.
